  1. Windows Quick Search unable to detect files on new primary hard drive, only secondary

Hello, I have recently installed a new SSD on my Windows 10 Home PC and have ran into an issue with the Quick Search option. The main problem is that the Quick Search only detects files which are located in my old hard drive which used to be the primary OS drive before I replaced it with my SSD. This has made it much more complicated for me to search for certain files such as images, videos, etc. I have not formatted my old hard drive yet but I am planning to in the future.

Any suggestions as to how to solve this issue are greatly appreciated.

    :)

Quick search not working on secondary drives on windows 10

"What type of files you are trying to search in the search bar?"

I'm looking for files like videos and music

What do you refer to when you say secondary drives? Is it the other partition on the hard drive/external hard drive like flash drives or etc.?

I have 3 physical drives, one SSD where my OS is located and 2 more internal hard disks.

I've tried both step 1 and step 2. The first one couldn't find any issue, while in the second step I had all the drives I need already checked (also tried to clear and create a new index). Still if I try to look for a video let's say on drive D:, nothing
shows up and I have to run a full search by clicking on "My stuff" button (or hitting enter, since I disabled the web search).

Everything worked fine on windows 8.1 so I think something happened with the update
