Setting Icons for Network Locations in W10

I am trying to set the .ico for my network drive in Network Locations of File Explorer. I'd like the custom .ico to show in Network Locations across all PCs that have added the network resource. I tried:

    - Right-clicking and Properties to change folder picture, however the Properties for Network Locations does not offer the Customize tab.
    - Creating an autorun.inf file in the root directory of the drive being networked. This changed the icon for the drive, but not in the Network Locations area.
    - Creating an desktop.ini file in the root directory of the drive being networked.

    Thanks,

    :)

  2. Custom Network location icon?

    Hi Jane,

We appreciate you for being a part of Windows 10.

Is the system connected to domain?

Please be informed that you may customize the Network icon. You may not be able to customize the available
networks under the Network. Try the below steps and check if it helps to customize the Network icon.

    • Press Windows + I keys on the keyboard to open
      Settings menu.

    • Click on Personalization.

    • Select Themes from the left navigation pane.

    • Click on Desktop icon settings.

    • Click on Network and click on
      Change icon
      .

    • Select the icon which you prefer and click on
      OK
      .

    • Click on Apply button and click on
      OK button.
The above steps will help you to customize the Network icon.

I hope the above information helps. Kindly let us know if you need any further assistance with Windows. We are glad to assist you.

    Thank you.

    Realmware BF4 Settings Editor 0.91

We have just released a hotfix for the preview version of our BF4 Settings Editor. As said in the posts above, DICE silently released a patch for the Battlefield 4 Beta, which changed the location of the settings files, breaking BF4 Settings Editor in the process. This hotfix resolves the issue, while also including a few other fixes and improvements. Be sure to update to the latest version!

Here is the full list of changes for this version.

    Features:

    • DICE silently released a patch which changed the location of the Battlefield 4 Beta settings files. BF4 Settings Editor now looks for the settings in the new location.
    • Fixed a bug where changing the system tray icon options would not properly update the icon's visibility.

    Location setting

    Hi,

This issue could occur due to incorrect location settings or it would depend on your IP address. We suggest you to check the location settings of your PC, and check if it helps. Here are the steps:

    • Click the Start button, and select Settings.
    • Go to Privacy, and choose Location.
    • Make sure that the Location service is On.

If issue persists, then it has something to do with your IP address. It’s because the location detected depends on the location set on your IP address.

Let us know how it goes.
