Windows 10: Cumulative update for Windows 10 (KB4507453) keeps failing to install - Error Code 0x80070017

Hi. I'm Mike. Cumulative update KB4507453 for Windows 10 v1903x64bit keeps failing to install on my desktop showing Error Code 0x80070017. I believe the problem may be that the original download was interrupted and got corrupted but each time I click 'retry' the system simply attempts to install the same corrupted download. I need to know how to delete the original download so that I can try to download this update again. Any views please.

Anyone else having problems getting the Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) installed? This update has been failing for me & doing a failed to update after downloading & reboot, then rebooting & removing the update.

V 10.0 build 10240

Windows update KB4507453

Once again there are problems with Windows 10 1903 updates.

Two or so weeks ago KB4501375 failed to install, and this still shows in the Update listing as failed. error code 0x800f0904.

Yesterday and today KB4507453 failed to install after several retries. error code 0x800f0904.

At least the error codes are common, although the fix may be more difficult.

Is the latest update failure related to the KB4501375 install failure? i.e. is the first update required before the second?

during the update, the antivirus product is disabled completely, but not uninstalled. This seems to be a new requirement with Windows 10, 1903. In the past all that was required was to run antivirus in "silent mode" and disable "tamper protect".
