Windows 10: Aug 9, 2019 Update bugs

I downloaded and installed the "critical" Windows update on August 9. Backblaze would not start until the 18th. Dropbox still will not start. Outlook says "Outlook data file cannot be accessed." So, I have no new email since the update except with my outlook account. Also, I have lost all of my personalization and customization choices in Outlook. My computer has slowed to a crawl. I have waited for updates to fix this, but the recent updates did not solve this problem. I feel like Microsoft could fix this with an update. I wonder what other programs might not work........................................

Last year at Ignite, we announced Office 2019 – the next perpetual version of Office that includes apps (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Skype for Business) and servers (including Exchange, SharePoint, and Skype for Business). Today we’re pleased to share the following updates:

• Office 2019 will ship in H2 of 2018. Previews of the new apps and servers will start shipping in the second quarter of 2018.
• Office 2019 apps will be supported on:
  • Any supported Windows 10 SAC release
  • Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2018
  • The next LTSC release of Windows Server
• The Office 2019 client apps will be released with Click-to-Run installation technology only. We will not provide MSI as a deployment methodology for Office 2019 clients. We will continue to provide MSI for Office Server products.

 

1/9/2019 Update Issues

After the update on 1/9/2019 my computer's DNS is completely unable to get/identify ip addresses, so while I am technically connected to the internet i can't do anything more than ping a server. When I try to uninstall the update my computer suddenly can't
locate the update to uninstall even though it's on my update log. When I tried system restore the only restore point that will show up is from 1/9/2019 and won't work. I also can't find my installation disk for Windows 7, though I really don't want to have
to do a fresh install just because Microsoft released a bad patch. I'm not that tech savvy so my troubleshooting skills are nil. Any advice is appreciated.

If you are on the Home, Pro and Pro for Workstations editions of Windows 10 1709, support was officially to end on April 9, 2019

Support for the Enterprise or Education edition ends on April 14, 2020
