I just got a good deal on a GPU for my old OptiPlex 960 sff and on Newegg it says it will work here is the link

    DELL OPTIPLEX 740 745 750 755 760 780 790 960 980 990 SFF DT Video Graphics Card - Newegg.com

But after I went to the EVGA site and it says I need a 350w PSU. Will this card work? I do not do any gaming and would like to go to 2 monitors and for 25bucks I figured I could utilize the PCI interface.

    :)

Geforce 8400 gs video card conflict windows 10

Geforce 8400 gs is working for the third monitor only until Windows 10 forces a driver update for this card. After that my other card stops working and I'm losing the second monitor completely. First and second monitors are connected to the GeForce gts 450.

I tried to block windows 10 from updating video cards but that doesn't work more than a few weeks. Windows 10 updates Geforce 8400 gs and screws everything up.

    Please help

It always says this even after many reboots.

So I installed from nvidia download and installer has hung on shadow play.

    What do I do?

Windows 10 install still sees my disabled MB integrated card with GeForce 8400 GS installed

    Hi Aswin,

Question #1 answer: About a month ago, I received an upgrade notice from Microsoft on my computer that my computer was eligible for the upgrade. So recently, I clicked the windows 10 icon in the lower left corner of my screen and received the following text
    .....

Error code (question 2) "NVIDIA GeForce 6150 nForce 430

The display manufacturer hasn't made your display compatible with Windows 10".

The irony is the above integrated graphics has been disabled on the motherboard and does not show up in the Device Manager. Only my current GeForce 8400 GS shows up on Device Manager.

I do have the latest drivers for the 8400, but I will do a driver reinstall just to be sure.

    Thank, Bob

in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware
Using a PCIe x1 card in a PCIe x16 slot: Here is something I recently found out. I have tired this and it works. You can use a PCIe x1 card, or a PCIe x4 card in a PCIe x16 slot. They work fine. So if you think you are short of PCI-e slots, you may not be. A shorter PCIe card works fine in a longer slot. On...
