Windows 10: IE favourites seems to be getting multiple incidences of the same item

Discus and support IE favourites seems to be getting multiple incidences of the same item in Browsers and Email to solve the problem; Hello. I'm not sure this is in the correct post topic but here goes. I've noticed recently that I have more than one item for the same thing in my IE...     Hello.
    I'm not sure this is in the correct post topic but here goes.

    I've noticed recently that I have more than one item for the same thing in my IE Favourite column. It is as if I have some how copied all my listings twice. It's not a straight duplication ie nothing has a 2 after it but randomly I find I have the same thing as under another heading?

    Could I have messed up on syncing some how?

    Display Favourites Items.

    Thank you for posting your concern here in Microsoft Community and welcome to the Windows 10 Family. I would be happy to assist you.

    From the description provided, I understand that you want the Favourites to be displayed in the Internet browser you use for quick access.

    I would suggest you to enable the settings for the Favourites Bar.

    Please follow the below steps.

    (Internet Explorer)

    1. Right click any where on the Menu Bar of the browser.

    2. Check the box for Favourites Bar.

    (Microsoft Edge)

    1. Left click on the Gear symbol on the top right hand corner.

    2. Select Settings from the list.

    3. Switch the toggler for Switch the Favorites Bar to on.

    import favourites

    Ive tried to import my windows 10 favourites to another laptop but it wont import them. The ones that coming up in favourites are nothing like my list can anybody suggest how I can get these back please

    Windows 10 My Favourites list is gone!

    I have loaded up Windows 10 and my favourites list is gone. This is pretty frustrating as I had a big list of favourites built up over a couple of years for work and my own personal browsing. I tried the adive offered by Krishna to Maggie in the forum which
    was:

    "I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps to restore the favourites.

    • Click This PC
    • Type %userprofile% into the Address bar
    • Press Enter on your keyboard
    • Right click the Favorites folder
    • Click Properties
    • Click Previous Versions
    • Wait for the list of previous versions to load
    • Select a version that was before you lost the files/folders
    • Click Restore."
    When I got to step 6 my previous versions list showed only today. Surely the loading of Windows 10 has not wiped out my Favourites? What can I do from here?
