Windows 10: Rx 480 fps

Hey!

Kinda new to the gaming world (well with pc, have been using a ps3 for a while). Just bought a 2nd hand pc with a Sapphire RX 480 8GB graphics card.
After looking at many reviews it's suggested that the RX 480 comes just under the GTX 1060. I hope it will do a good job as i only intend to play 1080p.
My question is about fps. I see this value can fluctuate a lot in gameplay, is it best to cap this at 30-40-50?
I think I have read that the ps3 caps all games at 30fps.

rx 480 driver issue

just installed a rx 480 it shows up in device manager but nowhere else say I have a basic display adapter why is this do I need to switch to windows 7

Based on what you have stated in your post, the issue seems to be with the hardware or the driver for the RX 480 graphics. Like you have mentioned, it works fine when you switch back to using integrated graphics. Relative to this, there may be a need for
them to provide a driver that will work with the latest Windows 10 update. We suggest waiting for AMD's reply or make a follow-up with them.

Should I buy a GTX 970 second hand, or a brand new RX 480?


The RX 480 is future proof. The GTX 970 barely matches the RX 480 in DX 12 and Vulkan API games.
