Windows 10: Microsoft Store Storage Issues

Microsoft Store is not letting me install *some* apps on *some* drives with no explanation at all.


My drives are configured properly and seen by the MS Store just fine; I can go to a game like Forza Horizon 4, or Sea of Thieves for instance, and click install, and it will let me choose which of my three drives I want to use.


However, when I try to do the same thing with Kingdom Come: Deliverance, it will only allow me to install on the C: drive, and the other drives do not show up from the drop-down list.


This seems to be an issue with the MS Store and something that needs to be fixed on your end.

Microsoft Store Issues

We would like to ask a few questions in order for us to properly address your login issue with Windows store and opening the app.

• Did you make any changes or updates to your computer prior to this?
• What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
• What is the exact error message you were receiving when opening the app?

Meanwhile, we suggest that you run the Windows app troubleshooter
to troubleshoot the app and Microsoft store.

Changing the default storage designation for the Microsoft Windows Store and various apps.

Hi Isaac,

The default storage location for the Windows store and apps is in system location where Windows is stored (This PC-> C drive), if you want to change the default location of the apps then I suggest you to follow the below steps to change the settings
and check if it helps.

• Open Settings and click on the System icon.
• Click on Storage on the left side, on the right side under
  Save locations, select the drive to where you want your
  documents, music, pictures, and/or
  videos to be saved to by default.
• Click/tap on Apply.

The above settings option is available only from the Windows version (10586), I suggest you to check in which version of Windows build in installed on your computer.
