Windows 10: Microsoft PinYin no support for other layouts

The title pretty much says it. I dont understand why there arent any other layouts supported besides US layout.
I am using a keyboard with german layout and since i cannont change it to that kinda layout, i cant really use it.

the Z and Y keys are switched, which would be fine to deal with. Problem is that pretty much all other keys are switched aswell.

Is there any reason why it doesnt support any other layouts? Would be awesome if that would get added so i can properly type in chinese.

(I am aware that i can use the screen keyboard but thats just avoiding the issue and not fixing it)

Hello everyone,

My problem is, that I use a QWERTZ german keyboard and I have to write pinyin on my PC. I have scoured the internet for a while now, and it seems to be impossible to switch keyboard layouts when using microsoft pinyin. I don't think I have to explain why
this is very frustrating, and I am now at the point of considering other chinese input methods, even though I enjoy just hitting super + space keys to switch language.

Are there any solid alternatives? I can't be the only one that has to deal with this...

I found this list, on which qwerty is the only option listed for chinese: Keyboard Identifiers and Input Method Editors for Windows.

This can't be too hard to do, I feel like this should be working out of the box.

Please fix this, microsoft!

1. I'm running 1803 build 17134.799, however I think this is a version independent issue

2. No, I have been struggling with this problem for a couple of weeks now. I'm pretty convinced this is a missing feature, not a bug on my system.

3. No, german and english both work fine. both use my QWERTZ keyboard.

Edit, since you also seem to have edited your original reply: yes, that is exactly my problem. It's frustrating to use a different keyboard layout (QWERTY) on a QWERTZ keyboard

4. No as I mentioned "super(windows) + space" works fine and is one of my favorite shortcuts. the issue is just that microsoft pinyin seems to only support QWERTY. I'd like that to change, or at least get a statement from microsoft. A screenshot won't help,
I'm sure if you read my issue again, you'll understand my issue. When i hit "z", it enters "y". This must be an issue for lots of people, since as far as I can tell the only layout supported for pinyin is QWERTY. DVORAK layout for example would be even worse
to use.

   box, type winver to get this info.
   
2. Are you aware of any changes made on your computer before this issue occurred?
   
3. Are you facing issue with writing pinyin on QWERTZ German Keyboard?
   
4. Are you facing issue with switching the keyboard layouts, what happens when you Windows+ spacebar?
