Windows 10: My Xbox Wireless Adapter is not working on my laptop but is working perfectly on my desktop.

I've got a Stealth 600 Turtle Beach and I use my Xbox wireless adapter to connect to my laptop. When I got it at first it worked perfectly but after a while the adapter and the the headphone aren't connecting to my laptop anymore. It connects perfectly with my desktop. On my desktop the symbol that a USB device is plugged in shows up but not in the laptop. And in the laptop it says that its working fine. Does somebody know why?

Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10 is not working anymore (NOT Xbox ACC Issue)

Hey everyone,

I feel like I'm going mad... This may be the last thing I post before my head explodes...

Anyway, my Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10 stopped working after a damned Windows 10 Update happened around Christmas. It was working fine and I could connect both my controller and Xbox headset to my PC using this adapter without any issues. I'll give
more details below.

• It is recognized by my laptop as "Xbox Wireless Adapter"(so it's not the Xbox ACC issue), the light flashes, but I can't pair it with any Xbox controller and headset, even though it worked perfectly when I got it, and it still works on other devices I have,
  so it's definitely not a hardware issue.
• I have searched for the issue online extensively and tried all of the fixes from these forums and others.
• Things I've tried:
  • Restarting and plugging into different USB port
  • Manually updating the drivers. Tried various driver versions from the Microsoft Update Catalog
  • Unistalling the drivers and letting them reinstall automatically
  • Fiddling with Wake/Sleep options of the Xbox Wireless Adapter
  • Updating Controller firmware

After a bit more research, it seems like one of the security updates from Windows 10 has broken these wireless adapters for a lot of people. I just need help understanding which security patch I need to uninstall in order for my Xbox Wireless Adapter to
work again.

I am running Windows 10 Home(Build 1803) and the license is OEM, running on a Dell G5 laptop.

P.S. I know this topic has been discussed before, but none of the fixes work for me, so that's why I've posted a new one.
