Windows 10: All feature update failed, still on 1709

Okay, time to ask the community....


I really am stuck to Windows 10 1709 x64


Last update was;

Feature update to Windows 10, version 1803 x64 2019-08C

Failed to install on ‎26/‎08/‎2019 - 0x8024200d


I always get black screen after login.

I know this is a hot topic but none of the solutions is working for me.

For example I cannot run the task manager ... it just doesn't response.

Sometimes I get the message window about Personalized Settings...

After this I am NOT able to go back to previous version ... always get the message that something went wrong.
The only thing is to do is a total restore of the disc ....


As I am stuck I only can do these regedit, sfc and DMIS things before upgrade ... but doesn't help at all.


Why is this happening I why all these strange error codes?

More importantly, why is this still not fixed by MS?


Any advise would be welcome.

1709 Feature Update repeatedly fails

I have been having a persistent problem installing the Feature Update to Windows 10 version 1709 on Windows 10 Pro. I have updated drivers and tried several approaches but nothing seems to change the basic behavior, which is a “Reference_by_pointer” blue
screen following the “Working on updates” portion of the update procedure. My Update history currently features 9 failed attempts at this update, with four listed as “requires a restart to finish installing” and the other five listed as failed. The about screen
lists Version 1703 OS Build 15063.966.

Fall Feature update 1709 fails and reverts to 1703

I currently have a list of the 50 or so Feature Updates from 1703 still on the Windows Update screen – some marked “Requires a restart to finish installing” and others marked “Failed to install on [date]”

When 1803 appears and is downloaded, what will happen to this 1709 list?
Hopefully Win will not keep on trying to reinstall them again.

(I assume that 1803 can update 1703 directly and not with 1709 as a prerequisite...)

Hi,

I corrected my mistake and logged in as adminstrator and followed the instructions that you gave. Initially i did run SFC and got the message: Windows did not find any integrity violations.

Then I ran DISM which went OK.

The I ran the commands in Windows Powershell (that you suggested). This time everything went fine.

Then I tried to update windows to 1709 once again, but it failed.

The detailed errors that appeared are listed below:

• 2018-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB4088787) - Error 0x80248007
• Feature update to Windows 10, version 1709 - Error 0x80248007
• Logitech - Other hardware - Logitech USB Input Device - Error 0x80070002 ----I tried to take out the USB device but still the 1709 fails.
• NVIDIA - Display - 12/29/2016 12:00:00 AM - 21.21.13.7654 - Error 0x80248007
