Delete MS Crapware - CandyCrush / BubbleWitch Games.

Long ago I nuke MS crapware like the games. Earlier today I found that I have 3 versions each of CandyCrush and BubbleWitch (and who knows what else).

Like I said I deleted them long ago. But there are new, recent, versions of the games.

I search in start menu, no sign of them.

I look in Programs and Features, and Settings > Apps > Apps & Features, neither of the programs are listed, so I can't uninstall them there.

I looked in CCleaner, uninstall tool. No sign of them.

I log in to my Admin account, start File Explorer using Run as Admin, navigate to the folders, try to delete them. I'm told I don't have permission to delete them!

Try to grant rights, not working ...

The only remaining thing I can think of is PowerShell, but I don't know how to find the appropriate ID to delete them

  2. delete demo games

If you don't want to see them everyday, you can remove their shortcuts from the games folder.

To do this, follow these steps:

    • open file explorer
    • go to windows folder
    • go to start menu
    • go to programs>games
    • delete the game's shortcut from there by tapping-n-holding on the shortcut

    Hi Ansgar,

Let's get this issue sorted. To better assist you in removing a game from the games menu, we would like to know more information about the problem that you are experiencing.

    • Do you only experience this issue with this particular game?
    • Did you download this game from Windows Store?
    • Have you tried uninstalling the game on your computer?
    • What other steps have you performed in trying to delete this game?
