  1. Internet browsers and some programs running slow and glitchy since Saturday Sept 14


    Hello, was there an update pushed out late Friday or early Saturday? My browser access and browser game programs have become super slow, youtube videos sometimes open with no sound, takes 5 min to disconnect an external hard-drive etc.


    Any help on how to fix this much appreciated.

  2. Slow Internet Download Speed from Browser/s but not from App.

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

    I understand the difficulty you are facing with this internet speed issue on the browser. We will certainly help you with this issue.

    • Do you have add-ons installed on the browser?

    Let us try these steps to check if that helps.

    Step 1: Suggest you to run the apps troubleshooter on the PC to
    fix problems with the Edge browser
    .

    You may also want to clear the temporary files on the PC to check if that helps.

    1. Press Windows key + R to get the run window.
    2. Type %temp% and hit enter.
    3. Select all the files in that temp folder and delete them.
    Once this is done, restart the computer and open Edge browser to test the internet speed.

    Step: 2: Further, you may also put the PC in a
    clean boot
    state to check if that helps. A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs, so that you can determine whether a background program is interfering with your PC activity.

    Note: Your computer may temporarily lose some functionality while in a clean boot environment, however, that functionality will return when you reset the computer to start normally after you have finished your troubleshooting.

  3. Error: "Internet Explorer is not responding" and "Website not responding" while accessing the browser on Windows 10

    Hi,

    Thank you for your response and information.

    As Windows 10 as Microsoft Edge in-built browser, I suggest you to try that browser and check if this issue persists.

    For the issues with Internet Explorer try the below and check if it helps.

    Step 1: I suggest you to run the Internet Explorer Performance troubleshooter.

    • Press Windows key, type troubleshooting
      and select it.
    • Click on View all in the left pane.
    • Click onInternet Explorer Performance and follow the onscreen instructions.

    Step 2: I suggest you to turn off and on Internet Explorer and check if it helps.

    Follow the below steps:

    • Press Windows + R, type Control Panel
      and hit Enter.
    • Click on Programs and Features.
    • Click on Turn Windows features on or off from the left pane.
    • Uncheck Internet Explorer, click on Ok.
    • Restart the computer and repeat the same as above to place a check mark on Internet Explorer.

    Hi Susan,

    To address your concern, we would like to know the following:

    • Have you already performed a speedtest for your internet connection?
    • Does your other devices experience the same slowness in browsing?
    • Have you turned off your addons on your browsers?

    For the meantime, you can perform a reset on your Internet Explorer 11 / Microsoft Edge by following the steps on this
