Windows 10: cannot upgrade to windows version 1903

I got this error just now OxC1900101 -0x30018 The installation failed on the FIRST-BOOT phase with an error during SYSPREP - SPECIALIZE operation. I also see this file in file explorer Windows 10 upgrade 9252.exe. Can someone help?

I had been speaking to Ronodeep, but he has disappeared?

Local profile issue after upgrading to 1903

As far as Wifi any chance it is Qualcom inside USB adapter, if Qualcom then yes known issue.


I might create another user (Local) and when if try again see if this issue occurs on both users.

Would also suggest you run the first 5 steps in this tutorial to see if you have any corruption with current build.

To early to update to Version 1903?

Those that have upgraded to Version 1903, is MS still coming out with download updates to that version quite frequently? Or, do you suggest waiting another month or 2?

I waited 3 months to upgrade to 1809. This past May, I never saw so many updates to that version......weekly! Maybe those updates were some additions that are in 1903???

Who told you that? It's not true, you can skip as many versions as you like. Just use the MCT to make the 1903 ISO, mount it, then run Setup.exe on the root of the ISO to start an in-place upgrade.

Not having tried the step from 1709 to 1903, I've tested it for you. Here is my test machine (System Two below). part way through an in-place upgrade from 1709 to 1903.










Edit: and some 90 minutes later it finished, with all files and apps still there.
