  1. Bing SafeSearch Stuck on as Strict in the UK

    Hello all,

Been dealing with a fairly annoying issue the past few days. I recently moved to London for my masters, and have been using a home personal network for the first few days. No issue whatsoever. However, I decided to link my school Microsoft account and that is where the issues began. I believe my school must have a Strict Safe Search designation linked to it, because as soon as I linked it my safe-search across platforms was enabled and placed on strict. Attempting to change it was impossible (Bing) or it immediately turns back on (google).

The Strict Safe search has been blocking a lot - many innocuous things. It has blocked music videos and a number of apps on my phone. Or at least they won't run properly.

At first I was able to go to Bing (not signed in) and change it to Off again, and then it would work for a bit. Annoying, but fixable. However, now it is stuck on Strict and I am unable to change it whether or not I am signed in or not. All it says is:

Your country or region requires a strict Bing SafeSearch setting, which filters out results that might return adult content. If you're seeing adult content, tell us about it so we can filter it in the future. To learn more about SafeSearch requirements in your country or region, see How Bing delivers search results.

I am in the UK using a UK internet provider. The UK is not a "strict" country, but I cannot seem to change it.

    I have tired:
-Unlinking my student account (which I need, so this was just to see if it worked).

    -Clearing my cache

    -Editing my Microsoft settings

    -Changing my region

... and various other things, none of which work. Can anyone help me navigate this? Ideally, I'd be in charge of my own settings (moderate) and still be able to use my school account (i.e. email).

So far Microsoft's "ask and expert" thing has been a failure so I'm hoping someone here knows how to change this.

    :)
