Sound Balance problem after Windows 10 updates

    Hello!

After a couple of automatic updates of Windows 10 (64), I've found that sound balance L/R in my ASUS X552L has a problem, specially when using headphones.

The Left side speaker is stronger than the Right side.

I can manually adjust the balance trough Control Panel / Sound / ..., but when I decrease the overall volume to zero, the balance changes get to default and then I have to repeat the process.

The same thing happens when I access the Realtek audio can manually adjust the balance trough Control Panel / Sound / ..., but when I decrease the overall volume to zero, the balance changes get to default and then I have to repeat the process.

I've tried a couple of Realtek High Definition Audio drivers without success:

    - 6.0.1.7224

    - 6.0.1.8656

    I've tried several things:

    - Let Windows to automatically update the driver, but sound quality was awful.

    - Disabled "all sound effects" box in enhancements tab in playback properties/driver settings, but no luck.

    - Set the sound output in Windows 10 to Mono, but sound quality was poor.

    - Several headphones -all perform the same way.

I've read quite a bit all over Internet, but haven't got any luck so far.

Hope that you can help me out this this matter.

    Than you in advance!

    :)

    Hello,

I request you to try the methods below:

    Method 1:

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Sound. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Audio.

    Refer these steps:

    • Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
    • Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.

remove the corrupted drivers from the computer.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and the restart the computer if prompted.
