Windows 10: Windows 10 update deleted my touch screen and webcam

Since a recent windows 10 update I've been experiencing the "Ghost touch screen" where the screen would be reacting as if I were touching it but I wasn't. Then it quit working completely.

I have an HP All in One 24 g020


Yesterday I went to use the camera (built in) only to find an error message saying that there is no camera.

I've done EVERYTHING basic to fix this. So please skip ALLL of the suggestions to restart my computer, unplug my computer, reset, or restore. I've literally done it all to no avail. I'd also like to add that it won't let me roll back the update because it's been too long since it's updated.


I finally found the driver listed in device manager for the touch screen, as a tech told me to try to delete the driver and then reinstall it....however now that I've deleted it....where the heck do I go to reinstall??? I've checked HP website for software updates etc and under my device there isn't even a touch screen or camera driver listed!


Right now I have completely wiped my pc and started over and the drivers are still missing.


anyone have any better ideas besides "turn it off and then turn it back on again" ??

Touch screen disabled in Windows 10

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check, if it helps:

Method 1: Try to run a inbuilt
Hardware troubleshooter
and check.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your touch Screen. Refer these steps:

• 
  Press Windows key +X, select
  Control panel.
  
• 
  Change the view by option on the top right to
  Large icons.
  
• 
  Click on troubleshooting
  and click on the view all option on the left panel.
  
• 
  Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.
  
• 
  Follow the on-screen instructions and check.
  

Method 2.Try updating the Touch screen drivers from the manufacturer's website and check if the issue persists.

Follow the steps to update the touch Screendrivers:

• Press Windows key + X key and click
  Device Manager.
  
• Expand the Sound, Video and game controllers.
  
• Right-click on the Sound card and click on
  Update driver software.
  
• Restart the computer and check.

Touch screen not working on Windows 10

Our business's lenovo B50 touch screen is not working after the update to windows 10, either. Have tried all steps listed to fix- no luck

We suggest to update the touch screen driver and check for resolution.

Follow the steps provided:

• Press Windows key and X on your desktop and click on Device Manager.
• Expand Human Interface Devices.
• Locate the Touch screen driver.
• Right-click on the driver icon and click on Update Driver Software.
• Click on Search automatically for the updated driver software.
• Follow the onscreen instructions to update the touch screen driver.
