  1. Re-Downloading Windows 10 (DLL files missing)

Hi, I am using a PC that runs windows 10. My pc was getting slower so I reseted my pc using Settings > Update and Security > Recovery. SThe problem is that some of the DLL files got deleted in the process because I can't launch any of my games(All of them are purchased through steam and steam is not downloading the missing DLL files itself . I was getting errors for individual DLL files missing so I manually downloaded all of them. Then I started getting the 0xc000007b error. I tried every method there is to fix this problem (resetting the pc again, process monitor, downloading DirectX end-user runtime, re-downloading .NET Framework, ). When I use process monitor some of the "NAME NOT FOUND" labeled files are only accessible through regedit but I cannot reach the folder where process monitor says they are not found. There are so many DLL files missing at this point I want to completely erase and re-download windows 10. And my PC is 64bit.

    :)

  2. Missing .dll file .

    Hi,

I suggest that you perform the steps below and check if it helps resolve the issue.

    • Uninstall all those apps (using revo uninstaller) which are giving you msvcr100.dll and msvcp100.dll files missing error
    • Open the link below
Download Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 from Official Microsoft Download Center

And download and install Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4.

    3. Download VSU_4\vcredist_x64.exe if you’ll be installing this on Windows 10 64bit.

    DLL Missing

I actually posted the link for the "list of troubleshooting steps to resolve your boost_threads.dll problems" which is located half way down the page. I did not mean to promote any downloads.

Why don't I just go back and indicate that on my original post? That way there's access to the 'step-by-step' instructions, which are accessed via those green 'plus' signs next to the topics.

If the link still needs to be removed, then let me know

    DLL Missing

The problem is, that the required DLL is not actually even listed there.
There are just dozens of download adware links from the top to the bottom.
