    deleted McCaffe, installed AVG. Windows Defender pop-up - how do I delete?


    I deleted McCaffee and installed AVG, way better. Now, I get pop-ups saying I have Five bad things and to 'read more', click here. But its ****... I cannot find Windows Defender in my control panel/programs. So I know this some script McCaffee left on my computer.


    How do I find it and uninstall/delete it?

    C windows installer folder - Delete?

    He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink deleted McCaffe, installed AVG. Windows Defender pop-up - how do I delete? ;)
    Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

    Like:
    First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
    Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
    Then type this in command mode as admin
    mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

    Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.

    Help with deleting a Windows 7 partition.

    Hey,

    So recently my boot decided to have the option between "Windows 7" and "Windows 7" on startup... The first one gives me an error, the second is my actual Windows 7 install.

    I need to know which to delete on this list, so that i don't have to watch my boot... haha.

    C windows installer folder - Delete?

    I have it in mine. Looking thru it, it looks like certain programs keep their installer in there. Probably not a good idea to delete it, as you might lose the ability to uninstall some programs.
