My logitech mouse suddenly starting cause a BSOD as the computer starts up; it self corrects and goes on to sign in.

Upon plugging in a wired mouse, everything works find.

The drivers for the mouse are uptodate.

I had NO problems with mouse until I recently change my hard drive and reloaded windows 10.

There is something with the windows 10 updates that is disabling the wireless mouses.

This is probably nothing, because a mouse is cheap, and who needs a wireless mouse anyway with a laptop?

So, we go back to wired mouse, or pull our hair out trying to fix the BIOS which is a bit above our heads and stretches our imagination.

    Or

Can Windows / aka Microsoft please fix the glitch?

I think there a million people with the same problem.

Kindly let me know when you fix it. It's been going on now for say, 3 months.

I'm not buying another wireless mouse till I know it's been resolved at the framework level.

    :)

    Logitech Wireless Mouse

    Hi Ken,

Not working wireless mouse could be due to the following:

    • Outdated device driver
    • No device driver installed
    • Faulty wireless mouse receiver

We would like to know some information to better isolate the issue:

    • Have you done any changes (like updating your Windows) on your computer prior to the issue?
    • Have you tried using using your wireless mouse on other computer and checked if the issue persists?
    • Have you tried updating your wireless mouse driver?

For initial troubleshooting steps, we suggest that you follow the steps below on how to run Windows troubleshooter:

    • Type troubleshoot in the search box and press Enter.
    • Select Hardware and Devices, then click
      Run the troubleshooter
      .

If the troubleshooter didn't work, you can check this
    article
about updating your wireless mouse driver.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

    Logitech Wireless Mouse

I have been using a Logitech M317 wireless mouse for a year or two. It stopped working recently and I thought it had died. Order a new M325c from Logitech and I am having the same problem. The device manager sees the HID compliant mouse but the USB receiver
is not working. The system message indicates the driver cannot be found.

    Thanks,

Logitech wireless keyboard / mouse hangs

    Problems

    • Intermittent nature
    • The mouse will often hang (won't move)
    • The keyboard will often not type
    • Sometimes, the keys get saved up and come out later all at once, and sometimes they never come out
    • The mouse seems to have difficulty traveling to the top left of the screen.

    Equipment

    • Dell Precision M3800 Laptop
    • Windows 10 Professional operating system
    • Logitech wireless keyboard (K270)
    • Logitech wireless mouse (M185). They came in the same box / use the same dongle.
    • "Plugable USB 3.0" docking station that runs the DisplayLink software. It has two monitors attached to it, one by DVI and the other by HDMI. It's plugged into the laptop by USB.

    Troubleshooting Steps Taken

    • Wired keyboard and wired mouse work great.
    • When wireless was plugged in, it was in a USB port on the laptop itself, not the docking station
    • I rerouted the monitors to plug directly into the laptop (take this docking station out of the equation). So far the wireless keyboard/mouse are not malfunctioning. This seems to indicate that the docking station is a necessary component to reproduce the problem). But I have to give it 1-2 days to make sure because the problem is intermittent.

    Question

What would be a good first choice for a fix I can try that won't hurt anything (update a driver...where?)?
