    Ever since my laptop updates to Windows 10, I cannot connect to my school's wifi properly on my PC what so ever! I run all the troubleshooting software and get the same response " website (www.microsoft.com) is online but isn't responding to connection attempts." I have already viewed previous threads on this issie and have tried EVERY SINGLE thing. I am literally resetting my PC rn to see if that will help with the performance. If this doesn't work, what else am I supposed to do?

    Website Not Responding To Connection Attempts on Multiple Browsers.

    The title says all. I'm able to connect to other websites, however, only one website will not respond to connection attempts. I've asked other people, and they are able to connect just fine. The things I've tried:

    • Rebooting my router.
    • Changing browsers.
    • Disabling extenstions.
    • Going in incognito.
    • Disabling my anti-virus/firewall.
    • Rebooting my computer.
    I do not have a VPN or proxy active. Any help is appreciated!

    Had the same problem in win 10 with error
    • website (www.microsoft.com) is online but isn't responding to connection attempts.
    • Ping came back everything good.
    • Network adapter working perfect.
    • ISP phoned and tried all the clearing DNS cache etc etc
    Uninstaled driver for NIC and restarted windows.

    Win 10 installed driver and everything worked fine.

    The difference between the old and new drivers..... Old driver signed by Realtec inc

    new driver signed by Microsoft.

    Seems ISP hardware has been updated to expect Microsoft signed driver.....

    Hope this saves someone sitting on the phone to ISP premium helpline for over an hour.

    Goto to Network Status in PC Settings and select Network Reset at the bottom of the screen. The PC will restart and you will need to renter the WiFi password.
