Windows 10: Help with windows 10 no bootable drive found!!!!!! issue after issue

Hello Everyone,

This is my first question here, a little back ground. I'm a Mac user, haven't used a windows computer in over 15 years, until recently. I got a HP Envy, went to do a reset on the HP, when it was finished, I was locked out of the computer.(Other user login Screen) I did everything to get in to the admin, once I was able to I was greeted with a black screen and a popup saying that the desktop was missing or not found (can't remember the right verbiage). Troubleshooting didn't do anything, there was nothing under the Advanced Setting option.

So I reset with the HP recovery, during the recovery process it froze and wouldn't do anything for a full 12 hours. My daughter closed the laptop not knowing what she was doing and when I saw that I opened it and it was in BIOS saying that no bootable drive was found & to install windows.


I went in BIOS and reset settings to default but it returned to the same screen over and over again. I removed back case and battery, did the 15 second reset, disconnected the hard drive. Connected everything back together and still the same screen. I have ran all diagnostic test on memory and hard drive all come back PASSED, even the extended hard drive test that is suppose to loop until it finds an issue, mine does not find anything.


Now Im at reinstalling from a different computer, dLing Windows that way, but the problem now is the computers I have are Macs and its keeps saying that it needs a window 7 and above computer to do this.. I don't have access to another Windows.


Is there something I haven't tried yet? Can I do the reinstall from my Mac, or do I have to use Boot Camp or am I completely stuck?


This has been beyond frustrating, Any help Would be appreciated.

Multi-bootable USB

Hey guys from TPU, couldn't find any specific thread pertaining to the question asked on title. As mentioned, I'm trying to create a bootable USB, but with many specifics boots available.

I've been trying to create one with multiple boot device including one that enables me to run Windows 10 directly on the USB Thumb Drive but to no avail.

The list of bootable images i'm trying to create are

1. Windows 10 (A full OS running from thumb drive)
2. Windows 10 ISO (Bootable disk image for fresh install)
3. MemTest86+

Have tried YUMI or UUI from the website USB PenDrive Linux but as this is my first time, i don't know how am i screwing up or am doing it right.. Anyone got a rough idea on a step by step guide? Thanks!

Ipod bootable drive?

I want to know if I can make my ipod a usb bootable drive.. will it mess up my ipod? I need to flash my video card back to normal.. Neros bootable cd gave me an error. I used a step by step guide, but thats another story.
