    Microsoft Webpages

I have a new dell laptop, setup windows completely fine, logged into my Microsoft account no problems. However after about 1 week I found I had no connection to any Microsoft websites that required me to sign into my account on this specific machine. It was all login.live sites and the log in screen when you log in on the laptop. I had no access to Microsoft support or any msn websites. Every other website worked completely fine (Gmail, Google drive, YouTube). Also had access to my account on other windows pc and multiple devices. I couldn't sign into any accounts on this PC or create a new Microsoft account.

My first stage was to check network settings, these all showed no problems.

Cleared cookies on my browsers, this let me get to the log on page but didn't load. (Multiple browsers)

Next I tried connecting via hotspot on my phone, still no luck.

I then flushed my dns setting using multiple commands.

Started the laptop in safe mode with networking.

Thought I would reset windows as I hadn't installed anything however suprisingly the problem still occered.

I then changed my DNS settings to multiple addresses

Installed a free vpn (Read on for information)

Next I contacted Microsoft support, using quick assist they sent a download link for Microsoft professional, using a product key. However they still couldn't access any Microsoft website so they referred me to a technician. He went into multiple different settings on the PC using the CMD , computer management and other windows administrate tools. Still no luck. Next he managed to update windows using a link sent on quick assist this took me to windows update center and reinstalled windows. The next day another windows support technician tried to fix the problem by flushing the dns and clearing cookies, updating network drives. There was talk it was a hardware problems, however previous to this problem I have been logged into my account on this laptop, and every other website worked. It feels as If my ip has been blocked.

Decided to contact dell as this laptop is only 3 weeks old, they also controlled my screen, however the engineer was more focused on the hardware and software, they found no issue. However he did not seem very competent on the laptop (Googling help pages).

I decided to install another vpn, (only a free service) tried to access Microsoft website and I had success, I was surprised but it looks like a network issue with this laptop of some sort? I have re tried with the VPN off and I get the problem again.

After contacting Microsoft supports team and dells supports team this problem still occurs

It effects windows updates as they work through Microsoft.

Sorry if I haven't included enough information, cheers for any help.

Update: Using a vpn i was able to access windows updates after a few attempts I managed to force another windows update which has fixed the problem.

    :)

    Hi,

Let's try to isolate the cause of this issue, we suggest that you use a new

and try to go to a webpage with a video again. Follow the steps below:

    • Open Edge.
    • Click on the three dots icon on the upper right part of the screen.
    • Click New InPrivate window.

If the issue persists, we suggest that you disable hardware acceleration and use software rendering instead of hardware rendering to view the webpage.
Here are the steps on how to use software rendering:

    • Click Start.
    • On the search bar, type Internet Options, and click on
      Internet Options
      from the results.
    • Click on the Advanced tab.

A webpage which cannot be deleted.

All apps » Internet Explorer » options:

    • settings » advanced settings » Get suggestions from Bing as I type: off
    • settings » Data Sense savings: off (otherwise, you surf via a proxy server at Microsoft premises)
    • settings » delete history
    • taps: please, close everything
Now, if you get that webpage, your network operator is forced to block it. Anyway, you should not see any previous favorites or addresses anymore after the steps above. Or?
