after the last update my pc lost its link to the server, the cause seems to be that the network profile has changed from Domain to Private

the ethernet link shows the name of my hub not the server

    Migrate Locale Profile to Domain

I removed my reply because watching those instructions on TechNet I started wondering if they really work with Windows 10.

Anyway, whatever you try create first a dummy profile, customize it a bit and move it to domain. If everything works, you can then move real profiles.

How to change the network setting (Private, public, etc)

    Hello Eileen,

There are several ways for you to set your network private. To better assist you, we would like you to answer the following questions:

    • Just to confirm, is your device connected to a domain?
    • If yes, have you run the PowerShell in administrator?
    • Have you tried the steps provided above by
      Joy Kemprai?
    • What other steps have you done so far?

    Looking forward to your response.

    Network Profile Private vs. Domain

    Hi Phillip,

To answer your query, you can change the network location profile anytime.

    • Could you tell us what is the current network location profile of your computer?
    • What profile are you planning to use?

We look forward to your response.
