Windows 10: Event ID 400 - Canon printer mp190 does not print

I get the the following information on 2019-08-01 :

This cause an error message saying the printer is off-line which it is not.

Canon MP190 Printer

I have the same problem. My printer is a Canon MP190 connected to USB port on left side of my computer Yes, it's worked before. I un-installed & re-installed the printer. I'm trying to print something from online & it keeps saying to enable bi-directional
support for my port.. I clicked apply & it grays out & I click ok. So I restarted the computer to see if the enabling stayed & it didn't. I don't have a USBxxx port listed on my port list...…..the printer is listed on LPT1...…...is this the problem? Thank
you!!!! Oh & Canon says it doesn't have a driver for Windows 10, but the previous versions of Windows should work. I have Windows 10.

 

Canon Pixma MP190 driver not available on W10

Hi everyone.

My old but loyal printer Pixma MP190 is correctely identified by W10, but the driver is not. I tried the solutions proposed on this thread : Scanner for Canon MP190 not working on Windows 10 (x64)

... but nothing works, and the posts are 2 years old. Has someone an idea or experience to share to help me finding a driver who works?

Start - Settings - Update & Security - on left side Troubleshoot - orn right side click "Printer".

This shows additional methods to troubleshoot printer issues

If the problems continue to persist :

As OEM Canon is responsible for the proper operation of the printer and their

supplied drivers. Check with Canon Support, their on-line documentation, and

drivers.

Good chance you need to update or re-install the latest available driver.
