Windows 10: Windows DVD Player playback speed control

Does Windows DVD player have the ability to slow down playback speed? I find this feature very useful for language study in some video player software but have been unable to find it in DVD player.

Hi, how do I change the playback speed in the Windows DVD Player? For lectures, I need to increase the playback speed. There is another thread where someone else asks the same question, however, the reply from Microsoft concerns Windows Media Player, which
is a different app. This concerns Windows DVD Player. Is it possible to speed up or slow down DVD playback speed on Windows? Thanks.

I see nothing on how to speed up the Windows DVD player. Most experts recommend VLC media player for playing DVD's more reliably, plus it's the most highly regarded open-source media player in the world anyway.

I do see here you can adjust the speed in VLC for playing media files, so you'll have to test it to see if it will work for DVD's too:
