  1. File tree confusion

I'm using Windows 10. Trying to understand OneDrive and how to find documents in various locations. There's "OneDrive - Personal" where some files get stored, apparently, but that doesn't show up when I click on File Explorer on my desktop computer. Instead I see three major headings:

    • Quick access,
    • OneDrive (not "OneDrive - Personal"), and
    • This PC.

Under each of those three headings there are folders marked "Documents," but none of them is "OneDrive - Personal." And under "This PC" I can drill down through the C drive to find another "documents" folder, but the contents aren't the same as elsewhere. Also, when I go to save a Word document the "OneDrive - Personal" location shows up, but if I save something there I don't know where it goes and can't find in on the File Explorer.

When I save a document to my laptop, I can't find it on the desktop computer. I have to email it to myself.

I need someone to help me prune the "file trees" and simplify things.

    :)

  2. TREE command function misses files

If you want to list the files as well, use tree /f in Powershell

  3. TREE command function misses files

Yes cmd or Powershell, both should work. Did you try to use
tree /f to list the files?
