How can I disable Printer Management in Windows 10?

I hate it. I want it gone. I want to use the individual management tools that come with each printer.


Please tell me how to get rid of it. I have Windows 10 on my old laptop, but never ran into this intrusive printer management there. I know it is possible to turn it off, but can't find anything online to tell me how to do it.

Anyone? (And no, I'm not talking about managing my default printer - I deselected that but I still get that annoying printer management window whenever I try to print something.)

How to disable the "Let Windows Manage my default Printer"

Hi Dharmendra,

I suggest you to refer to the steps provided below which helps you to disable the Default print management.

• 
  Sign into your account as
  Administrator.
  
• 
  Open Settings, and click/tap on the
  Devices icon.
  
• 
  Click/tap on Printers & scanners on the left side, and turn on (default) or off
  Let Windows manage my default printer for what you want on the right side. (see screenshot below)
  
• 
  When finished, you can close Settings if you like.
  

Once you have turned off this feature, it will get reflected for all the other users.

• What is the make and model of your device?
• How is the printer connected to the computer, locally or through network?
• Have you tried any troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue?

I suggest you to try the below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to update the drivers for printer and check.

• 
  Right click on the Start button from the desktop and select
  Device Manager.
  
• 
  Locate and expand Print queue.
  
• 
  Right-click on the printer driver
  that is listed and click Update driver software.
  

Step 2: I suggest you to run the printer troubleshooter from
“Fix printer problems”
and then check if this fixes the issue.

Can't share printer—getting error message

Yeah, I have windows firewall disabled, and I don't use any other firewall... mostly to prevent stupid issues like this.
