  1. How to open an Excel spreadsheet protected by bitlocker on a different PC.

I created an Excel spreadsheet on a W10 Pro SSD drive that is protected by bitlocker. I then copied it onto a USB drive (not protected by bitlocker) and when I try to open it on a different W10 Pro PC, I get Error 0x80071771: The specified file could not be decrypted. I know the password but there doesn't seem to be anywhere to put it in. Is there some way to access the Excel file on the 2nd PC?

    Thanks for any help.

    :)

Excel spreadsheet with macro opens blank.

    Dell Latitude E5500 laptop
    Windows 10 Professional
Microsoft Excel Office XP Standard with 2007 Conversion

I have created a spreadsheet that opened normally until I added a "Clear Contents" control & macro. Now when I attempt to open the file, it opens with a blank screen. Within that blank screen I can Open the spreadsheet. My Dell 660 PC with Windows 10 Home and the same Excel software works fine on that spreadsheet. Any help will be much appreciated.

How to open an Excel spreadsheet protected by bitlocker on a different PC.

Unable to open Excel for Mac spreadsheets on my HTC HD2

    Hi Susan,

Have you tried saving the Excel spreadsheet in a different format? Instead of saving as XLSX, try saving in the older "Excel 97-2004 Workbook (.xls)" format. The steps below explain how to save the document in a different format:

    • Create a file, or open the file that you want to save.
    • On the File menu, click Save As.
    • In the Save As box, type a name for the file.
    • On the Format drop-down menu, choose Excel 97-2004 Workbook (.xls).

While you're trying that, I'm going to move your thread into the Windows Phone forums and see if anyone there can help us out. I'm not quite sure what formats WinMo 6.5 supports and there aren't too many things we can try on the Excel
    side.

Let me know if changing the format helps!
