Windows 10: Burning a Disk to play on CD player

After an update earlier in the summer all my MP3 files wouldn't play anymore as somehow now the extension was wrong. I re downloaded them and they play now. However when I want to burn them to a disk I can only burn them so that they play on another computer and not so that they burn on a CD player. It doesn't matter whether I choose burn as a USB or burn to play on a CD player.

Burning CD with Windows Media Player

Firstly, Windows Media Player requires that content intended to be burned to discs be first stored on the computer's hard disk. Therefore, I would suggest you to copy all the songs to a folder first and then proceed to the next step.

Burning photos to a CD Disc

Hi Jimmy,

We suggest that you use Windows Media Player to burn the images. Please follow the steps below:

• Open Windows Media Player.
• In the Player Library > Burn tab > select
  Burn options.
• Choose Audio CD or Data CD or DVD.
• Insert a blank disc into your CD or DVD burner. (Select the drive you want to use if your PC has more than one CD or DVD drive)
• Search for the items in your Player Library that you want to burn to the disc, and then drag them to the list pane (on the right side of the Player Library) to create a burn list.
• When you're finished with the list, select Start burn.

Note: If necessary, click the Clear list button to remove all items from the previous burn list.

BURNING CDS WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER

Hi,

I appreciate your efforts.

• Are you able to play other audio/video and online audio/video with out any issues?
• Are you able to play other audio/video on Media Player without any issues?

As I can see from the title you are using Media Player to play the CDs. Try to play from other apps available and check if it works fine.

It could be either an issue with Media Player or the way you have burned it to the CD or with the sound card.
