    Network connection randomly drops out

Symptoms: network access randomly drops out on just one PC. It happens while using both wired and wifi connections although on wifi it seems to be more often.

Network will eventually return after a while but If I reset the adaptor (disable then enable) then network returns almost immediately, it is not internet going down as others connected to the router are not effected.

At first I though it was my router, but having changed routers it is still happening. Since it is happening on both wired and wifi I don't think it is hardware so I have concluded it must be a software problem.

I have done things like disable sleep modes in the adaptor settings without resolution, thought it might be my firewall (comodo) but uninstalled and still the same, even reinstalled windows to no avail. I tried different network drivers but as it is happening on both wired and wireless I don't think this is the cause.

Windows event logs don't show anything matching the times of the network drops.

Can you recommend any further possible causes.

    :)

    Internet connection dropping

I had already tried this and it did not work. I did find an updated driver for my adapter (Realtek) and so far no more problems. Thanks for the suggestion!

    Losing network connection

Hello Dear, if you have a laptop or a PC with a wireless network adapter, you can see a list of available wireless networks and then connect to one of those networks. The wireless networks will only appear if your PC has a wireless network adapter installed, the adapter is turned on, and the wireless access point is in range.

    1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.

    2. In the left pane, under Network Tasks, click View available wireless networks.
In case, If you don't see the network you want to connect to, click Refresh network list. If you see the network but the signal is weak, move the PC closer to the wireless router.

    3. Click the network you want to connect to, and then click Connect.

    4. If you're connecting to a secure network, type the security key, and then click OK.

I Hope you solve out your query soon.
