Windows 10: Multi-Language use of 1 family OneDrive

Hi,

My son prefers to work in a right-to-left Hebrew environment and keeps switching the language to Hebrew on HIS computer, which apparently has an affect on MY computer, which I prefer to use in an English-language, left-to-right environment.

How do I prevent his language settings on his computer from affecting my settings on my computer? This has been a bit of a tug-of-war and we both use and share the family files extensively on OneDrive in the family library.


Advice in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Family Safety Reports in the wrong language

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.

I would suggest you to check and confirm if the language settings within your system and the Microsoft account is configured correctly.

Please follow the methods below and check if it works out for you.

Method 1:

Setting the ‘Country or region’:

1. Press the ‘Windows’ key and ‘I’ key, this will open the ‘Settings’ application, click on ‘Time & Language’.
   
2. Click on ‘Region & language’, under ‘Country or region’, check if the correct option is selected.
   

Method 2:

Sign into
https://account.microsoft.com/family/, scroll down, at the bottom left corner, you will find the ‘Globe’ icon. Check if the correct language is set.

Windows 10 changing language

I understand your concern and will assist you to resolve this issue.



I suggest you to check whether you’re using single language or multi-language in your system.

Follow the steps below.

• 
  Press Windows + Pause Break button.
  
• 
  There you will be able to see whether your system is single language or Multilanguage.
  

If it is Multi-language then you can download the English language and install.

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.
