  1. [Question] Shortcuts for audio control

    Hi all,

I was seated to a new workstation at work and have to control my audio when calls come in.

I searched for a while and wasn't able to find keyboard shortcuts online or in the windows settings.

All I want to do is to mute and unmute all sounds. Since its at work I'd like to find a way the doesn't involve installing additional software and frankly I am quite confused that this feature seems to be not included in windows.

I hope its just me being blind.

    Please help, thanks!

  2. Unclear Audio and how to create shortcut on desktop on Windows 10.

    Hello,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community. We regret the inconvenience caused and will assist you in resolving the issue.

From the above description, I understand audio is not clear on using
    Get Started
app on Windows 10. You also want to know how to create shortcuts on AOL desktop.

Before assisting further, I would like to ask you few questions:

    • Does the issue persists only on using Get Started app on Windows 10?
    • Did you check if similar issue persists on playing system audios/videos?
    • Which shortcut do you want to create on desktop, webpage or system filed/folders?

I suggest you to check if you face “garbled/slow motion” interruption on playing system audio/video files on the computer. If the issue persists, I suggest you to update the audio device drivers by following the steps from the link below and check
    if the issue is resolved.

    • Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and select
      Device Manager
      from the context menu.
    • Expand Sound, video and game controller option from the window.
    • Right click on the audio driver and select
      Update this software option.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions and wait for the update to complete.
    • After the update is complete, close the window and check if the changes are effective.

Write to us with the answers to the above questions and the status of the issue on the same post for further assistance. Your reply is most important for us to ensure we assist you accordingly.

    Thank you.

    Keyboard Shortcut For Volume Control

There is an information on how to create this shortcut posted here:

windows 10 audio volume keyboard shortcut - Google-Suche

The problem I have is that unlike in Linux such a shortcut isn't working unless Volume Mixer icon on the taskbar is clicked upon.

So volume slider pops-up, then this shortcut works. As a result: I still need to use a mouse.

Can you, please suggest a way to create a keyboard shortcut to control Windows 10 audio volume (not an application audio volume), which won't involve using a mouse?
