Windows 10: Running windows 10 without intenet connection

I am deploying an industrial system that has no Internet connectivity. One installed the system will communicate between dedicated computers to a server bank and by design the LAN will not have any means to communicate beyond the LAN.


What will this have on the Windows 10 deployment?

No intenet connection on Visio TV after Windows 10 update

The issue might be due to outdate or incompatible network drivers.

I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: Internet Troubleshoot

Windows has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Internet connection. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your internet.

Refer these steps:

1. Press Windows key +X, select Control panel

2. Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons

3. Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel

4. Run the Internet Connection troubleshooter

Method 2:

Follow these steps to update the drivers: This steps will help you to update the network drivers.

1. On the search bar type “Device Manager” or press Windows key + X and select “Device Manager”.

2. Locate “Network Adapter” and expand by clicking on it.

3. Right on the “Wired adapter” option and click “Update driver software…”

Intenet connection problem after update to Windows 10

I appreciate if you could answer few questions to narrow down the issue and to provide you better assistance.

• Are you trying to connect to Wireless or Wired network?
• What exact error message do you receive while you try to connect to the internet?

This issue might happen due to incompatible Network adaptor drivers. Kindly follow the below given methods and check if it helps.

Method 1:

I suggest you to run Network adaptor troubleshooter and check if it works:

• Click on Start and enter troubleshooting in the search box.
• Tap or click Troubleshooting.
• Tap or click Network and Internet, tap or click Network Adapter, and follow the instructions on your screen.

Method 2:

Reinstall the Network driver in compatibility mode

The issue could have occurred due to the drivers installed not being compatible with Windows 10.

In order to use the drivers which are designed or developed for a different Operating System, we need to install them in compatibility mode. Please follow the steps below to uninstall the network driver:

• Press Windows Key + R.

• Type devmgmt.msc and hit Enter.
• Right click on the Network adaptor and select
  Uninstall.

To install the drivers in compatibility mode, follow the steps below:

• Right click on the setup file of the driver and select
  Properties.

• Select Compatibility Tab.
• Place a check mark next to Run this program in Compatibility mode and select the
  operating system accordingly from the drop down list
• Click OK and run the setup.
