Hi, after installing the update for "KB4523205", my start menu icons were removed, and it won't let me add things back to it most of the time. When it does, it gives me a blank icon with a seemingly random string of text as the name and a link that doesn't work.

Both times, only "Intel Graphics Control Panel" and "ASUS Battery Health Charging" stayed in the start menu.

I have encountered the same problem with "KB4519338" before. Which I solved using this same method:

View update history -> Uninstall Updates to uninstall that update, then it works again. Then use "wushowhide.diagcab" to stop it coming back.

I have tried looking on the search here and on google, can't seem to find any mentions of this problem. So I was wondering if anyone has the same or similar problem, and if there is a better solution than blocking the update.

Start menu default internet acces icon screwed?

You generally set that via the Start Menu settings (right-click start menu -> properties).

I had that issues a while ago, and it meant removing it from the Start Menu, and reinstalling my browser to get the icon back, it was very odd.

Start menu default internet acces icon screwed?

@oil: That's what I did, but unfortunately it's different, it should be like "Internet" and should have the icon of FireFox.

So.. Remove the icon via Start menu properties, uninstall FF (again) and install?

Try removing that icon from the start menu, going to profram file folder for firefox, and doing "pin 2 start menu".
