Windows 10: I think I fell for a phish.

Like an idiot I was shopping on Walmart when my laptop went nuts with popups and a loud voice saying to call the phone number on the popup with the Microsoft logo on it. Regretably, I did it and spoke with a dude who identified himself by name and ID #. So, yes, I let him have control of my laptop and then after much conversation I realized what I had done and left the call. Now I cannot even get past the login screen. It tells me the password is incorrect. I’m ready for the public shaming but please tell me what I should do next. PLEEEEEEEASE!

While there are legitimate emails from the Microsoft account team,
email phishing scams using the Microsoft name are very common so you have to be very careful. A
legitimate email address domain from Microsoft is @accountprotection.microsoft.com.
