Reactivating Win10 info from MS - but is it OEM or RETAIL?

Yes, I did upgrade from a Windows 8 Pro (which was upgrated to Windows 8.1 Pro) RETAIL to Windows 10 Pro. And it is still a RETAIL it writes with cmd: slmgr -dli

Windows 10 Pro Retail or OEM or Volume License

    Hi,

I was able to find command prompt using Mr. Andre De Costa's helpful link.

    slmgr.vbs-dli were not getting processed.

So I tried your suggestion slmgr-dli

First attempt I failed as I typed slmgr-dli without space after slmgr

Second attempt it succeeded as I typed slmgr -dli with space after slmgr & screen showed it is Volume License Key. I am confirmed of my product id now.

I asked Microsoft technical support whether my product id belongs to OEM or Retail or Volume License Key. Microsoft technical support refused to ans.

Now I talked to the dealer, he said he will set it right on Tuesday.

I appreciate the help & the support on Microsoft community you, Mr. Andre Da Casta & Few more are providing. Thanks a ton to you all for every thing....

May God shower his special blessings always upon you all experts.

That has no real meaning here - that just means retail branch which includes standalone or oem. Actually everybody says retail key, but strict term is standalone key (see EULA).
