  1. Microsoft Display Adapter to 2 projectors

Hi. Here's what I'm trying to achieve:

Connect to a Microsoft Display Adapter from my Surface to a projector and send the same display to a 2nd projector.

I've tried hooking the Adapter to an HDMI Splitter instead of the projector, but then I see the adapter anymore to connect to.

    Thanks for any suggestions

    :)

  2. Microsoft Display Adapter not getting connected to PC

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your response.

I would suggest that you follow the steps below and check if you can find the adapter in Device Manager.

    1. Right click on the Start Menu and then click on Device Manager.

    2. From the list of Hardware, find the Microsoft Display Adapter and check if you can find the device in question.

I would also suggest that you follow the troubleshooting steps provided in the first link and check if it helps.

Microsoft wireless display adapter on windows 10

Thanks! I did three things which solved the problem earlier today.

    • I did what HenryOnins did, I switched off the projector (and Miracast receiver - which happens to be a Netgear PTV3000), I then 'removed' the wireless adapter from the Connected Devices settings.
    • I also uninstalled my device's display adapter (I'm using a Surface Pro 2), and rebooted the computer.
    • Lastly I updated the default display driver that Microsoft installs.
I then added the wireless adapter again in Connected devices. It worked perfectly - in fact, it worked better than in Windows 8.1 update where I had some instability with the connection. It might be that only the first step was necessary - nevertheless,
I'm glad I got it to work!

Microsoft display adapter can't pair with Note 9 on Android Pie

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums?

We have looked into this for you and it appears that Samsung Galaxy Note 09 is not in the list of compatible devices. For more information, please refer to the article:

    Wireless Display Adapter Compatibility

However, I would suggest to try the following methods and see if it works.

Solution 1: Check your HDMI and USB connections

Make sure both the HDMI end and USB end of the adapter are connected correctly.

    • Check that the HDMI end of the adapter is connected to the HDMI port on your HDTV, monitor, or projector. Use the included HDMI extension cable if needed.
    • Check that the USB end of the adapter is plugged into a USB power source. For the most stable connection, use a USB charging port that's directly connected to a wall outlet.

    Solution 2: Restart the adapter

    Try restarting the adapter.

Disconnect it from your TV, monitor, or projector.

Restart your android device, and reconnect the adapter.

    Hope the information is helpful.
