Windows 10: Intel HD Graphics Device requires further installation Device...

My son's computer was running fine until around 8/5/19. On this date the Windows Feature Update to Windows 10, version 1903 installed.




Now we have this message in Device Manager:




The monitor which is 4K doesn't work properly like it did before and you cannot select 3840 x 2160 in "Settings".




The highest setting available is 1920 x 1080.

We hooked up an old 2k 1920 x 1080 monitor and the highest available in "Settings" was 1024 x 768 and the monitor display is distorted.


I have checked that the Intel Graphics display adapter driver is updated:



I have checked that the monitor driver is updated.



I also installed the "Intel Driver and Support Assistant" from the Intel website which scans the computer and says everything is updated.

Intel HD Graphics, Help!!

Hello,

On my device manager under display adapters it says Intel(R) HD Graphics Family but in the adapter string it says I have Intel(R) HD Graphics 4400. Does this mean I have Graphics 4400?

If I do have Graphics 4400 I tried installing it in display adapters by

Update Driver Software - Browse my computer for driver software - Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer - Intel(R) HD Graphics 4400

But then it says the driver selected for this device does not support this version of windows

Im running a HP Probook 430 G2 with 64-bit Windows 10 Pro.

Could I get help on how to install this.

• Download and install Speccy (when you click on it, download will immediately commence)
• Start Speccy
• Click on the "Graphics Button"
• Do a screenshot of the Graphics and post here
• It will display your current graphics driver and will look something like the screenshot I have posted below (please note where it says the driver version for my Intel HD graphics). Please click to expand the image below

You can find the driver another way that doesn't require a download. But by downloading Speccy, it means you will always have your full technical specifications readily available should the need arise

try this, it works for many people:


1.- Download from this site the beta zip file (win64_154012.zip), and not the exe file:

Download Beta Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows® 10 and Windows 7*/8.1* [15.40]

(for 32-bit download win32_154012.zip).

2.- Unzip the driver to C:\Windows\Temp folder.

3.- Right click on Start and choose Device Manager, Display adapters,
Intel(R) HD Graphics Family.

4.- Double click to open it (or right click and choose Properties).

5.- Click on the Driver tab and then on Update Driver.

6.- On the new tab click on Browse my computer for driver software.

7.- On the new tab click on Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

8.- On the new tab click on Have Disk.

9.- Click on Browse and then choose Windows\Temp\win64_154012\Graphics\igdlh64.inf
(igdlh32.inf for 32-bit) and click on Open and then
OK.

10..- On the new tab where Intel (R) HD Graphics Family is showing click on
Next and let the driver to install.

11.- The new Driver Version is 20.19.15.4326 and is digitally signed.

Be aware to follow step by step all the procedure and do not try to use the wizard to update the driver directly, in many cases it won’t work.
