Windows 10: Toshiba 1TB USB3 unable to read on HP desktop

I have a HP desktop and I am pulling my hair out trying to read the Toshiba portable hard drive. It works perfectly on MacBook Air but cannot read on my HP desktop. I've done the normal disk driver update etc. Can someone help PLEASE...!!

Toshiba Canvio not being read on Windows 10

Same for me only it was 2 different Toshiba Canvio 1tb externals. I used them on a laptop with windows 10 and my desktop with windows 10 and it showed redundancy error. I took them to my Uncles house and tried them on his Desktop with windows 7 and they
worked fine.

 

Unable to access HP Simple Pass to Sign-in to the computer on Windows 10

• Do let us know the make and model of your computer?
• Have you installed HP simple pass software on your computer?

Try the below steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to download the latest HP Simple Pass software from the manufacturer's website install it and check if it helps.

Step 2: If you have already installed the software, I suggest you to re-install it and check if the issue persists.

Follow the steps to Access Recovery Manager:

• Press Start button from the keyboard, type Recover Manager.
• Select Recovery Manager from the list when it becomes available. Allow the action to continue, if prompted. The
  HP Recovery Manager opens.
• Click Software program re-installation, Next , select
  HP SimplePass for the listing and then follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall application

Unable to create simple volume on new 1TB hard drive


Just got a brand new HP computer with windows 10 Pro (64bit) preinstalled on an SSD. I am now adding a 1TB sata hard drive for storing data files. New HDD is installed as Disk 1 and is seen by Windows 10. I initialized it as an MBR basic disc. When I try to go to the next step of creating a volume, I right click on disk 1 and there is no option available to create a new simple volume. There are other volume options (mirror, raid, etc) but they are all greyed out. Simple is not even listed as an option. I went to DISKPART and using clean command, took it back to the start, then initialized it as a GBT. That didn't make a difference. Now I'm back to MBR again. I also did a List Volume command under DISKPART and confirmed there is no volume on this drive. I'm stuck. How can I get this drive to the point where I can format it and use it?
