Windows 10: Unable to access the Admin page of my modem router since latest Windows 10 update

Since I updated the latest Win 10 update, I am unable to access my modem router's admin page. I previously never had any problems logging to the admin page. I took the extra step of uninstalling my antivirus/firewall program and logging in to no effect. I can access the internet and have no issues in viewing any website. The only time I have been able to access the modem router admin page since the last Windows 10 update is when I start windows in Safe Mode with networking. Refer message below:


Your Internet access is blocked
Firewall or antivirus software may have blocked the connection.


Try:

• Checking the connection
• Checking firewall and antivirus configurations
• Running Windows Network Diagnostics

ERR_NETWORK_ACCESS_DENIED
Check your Internet connection
Check any cables and reboot any routers, modems or other network devices you may be using.
Allow Chrome to access the network in your firewall or antivirus settings.

If it is already listed as a program allowed to access the network, try removing it from the list and adding it again.

Unable to access my router

1. I already have a gateway configured in my house, so no, i'm not relying on this router for internet. However, I plan to make this into an access point in the very near future.

2.This is what I'm getting when i follow that step....

Autoconfiguration IPv4 Address. . : 169.254.205.6(Preferred
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.0.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . :

So with this i tried 169.254.205.1 with unlucky results :/

It seams you are not the only one who experienced this problem with this router.

Router has some memory problems - probably low memory after some time and can't handle web requests. Suggestion is to disable UPnP in router. UPnP service is memory hungry and disabling your modem could have enough resources for web requests.

 

Wireless cable modem/router/firewall

can someone recommend me a wireless router with built in cable modem. Most of the devices ive seen are equiped with ADSL modems!
