    Instant Tethering:
    https://support.google.com/pixelbook/answer/7504779?hl=en

"Instant Tethering uses your Android phone’s mobile data to automatically connect your Pixelbook to the internet through a simple notification shown on your Pixelbook."

Basically, it sounds like a Chromebook can remotely tell your Android phone to turn it's wifi hotspot on, I believe this signal is sent over bluetooth.

It would be cool to have a button on your Windows 10 laptop that could do the same thing, send a signal to your Android phone and tell it to turn the hotspot on without ever having to touch your phone to turn it on, and then to turn it off manually or have the phone turn it off after a timeout.

Has anyone done this or know if its possible?

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
