Windows 10: Win10 Lock Screen Settings Inaccessible

Hello,


I wanted to change the pic on my Win 10 (64 Bit) lock screen but the only thing that is functional on it is the ability to add an app to it. I have a message in yellow at the top that says, "*Some of these settings are hidden or managed by your organization". This is not a work computer it is my own personal HP Pavilion DV7-6b32US laptop (8-9 years old). I cannot change the setting off of slideshow to a static picture nor can I add any folder to create a slideshow and the slideshow does not work at all. Here's a screenshot of what I see:








Can anyone help me fix what is broken?

Lock screen woes

Hi,

I would suggest you to follow the below steps to try resolving the issue.

Setting the timeout for Lock Screen

• Press Windows + I and select personalization.
  
• Select Lock screen.
  
  
• Select the Screen Timeout setting.
  
• Select the time of timeout you need and check.

Keep us posted if the issue resolves to help you better.

 

Lock Screen Image Too Big

• Is this issue occurs only when the pictures are set from OneDrive?

I suggest you to set the picture for the lock screen using the default lock screen pictures and check whether the issue persist or not, follow the below steps to set the pictures.

• Go to “settings” and click on “personalization”.
• Under “lock screen” tab, select the option from the drop box as “picture”.
• Then under “choose your picture” option, click on any picture and go to the lock screen, check whether the issue persists or not.

Lock Screen keeps changing

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Windows Spotlight picks the photos from Bing and displays them in the lock screen. I understand that you have set a picture and it is getting changed automatically.

I suggest you to follow the steps to select the Picture that you want to be displayed on the lock screen. Please follow the steps mentioned below to set a Picture to lock screen:

1. Press and hold Windows + I key on the keyboard to open settings.
   
2. Click on Personalization.
   
3. Click on Lock screen.
   
4. Click on the drop down under Background and select
   Picture.
   
5. Click on Browse and select the picture that you want to set.
