Windows 10: OneDrive re-installation fails

I had a problem with my OneDrive installation: the OneDrive installation folder contained around 30 mostly different versions of OneDrive and took up nearly 10Gb of space on my SSD because sadly one cannot choose a different installation path. I ended up deleting all these folders containing old and partly duplicate versions and uninstalled OneDrive which went fine.


Now, while re-installing I keep getting the 0x80040c82 error code. Two proposed fixes I tried didn't solve my problem:

1. Uninstall OneDrive using "%SystemRoot%\SysWOW64\OneDriveSetup.exe /uninstall" on my 64-bit machine
2. Running sfc /scannow

I have rebooted my PC between uninstalling and re-installing and until now nothing seems to work.



I would appreciate every idea to fix my problem very much!

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

 

KB4025339 Fails Install 0x80070564

I am trying Eagle 51's suggestions now. Windows Update troubleshooter found a bunch of errors and fixed all but one.The update is trying to download KB4025339 again. I'll see what happens. At step one troubleshooter finishes with one error unresolved "Potential Windows Update Database Error Detected-Not Fixed". Windows update stalled at 0%.

At step 2 same troubleshooter error. The KB finished a new download failed to install.
Did step 3 KB has downloaded but fails to install.

If Eagle's suggestion doesn't work I'll try EdTittel's suggestion

Tried bothe Eagle & Ed 's suggestions - do not work. Anyone else?

I have noticed that the latest update for my nvidia drivers has failed to update. Wondering about that!

 

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time
