Windows 10: Sticky Notes not working when work account added on private MAM joined device

Hello,


However, Sticky notes (latest from store), is unable to sync further changes (on private MS account). I suspect issue is due to added work account.

If I remove win10 work account, sync back again works.


I have private Windows 10 device (build 1903, also 1909), that has Microsoft account, and organizational work account added.

Device is Intune MAM joined, and has Windows Information protection policies.

Office desktop, Edge, To Do and other Apps are working fine with private and work account (which is protected).

The issue is the same on multiple win10 computers and users, with same scenario, more than 12 months...
Any idea/ when this will be fixed?

Sticky Note Missing

Hi KeithRawlings,

I'm Charles, an Independent advisor trying to help.

Let's see if with the following steps we can solve the problem:

1.- Open >> Sticky notes, when located on the taskbar (Right click on the option) >> Select: List of Notes, now check if your note is in that list.

2.- Follow the steps suggested by the Windows MVP in your article

Sticky Notes "Insights" not working with handwriting

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

1. Have you tried to check the settings on the Sticky Note App if the
   Enable Insights is off?
   
2. Since when are you facing this issue?
   
   
   

I suggest you to follow the below steps, and check if that helps.



Method1: Try enable insights in Sticky notes.

1. Open the Sticky Notes app.
2. Click/tap on the 3 dots menu button, and click/tap on Settings.
3. Click/tap on Enable insights to toggle to disable (uncheck) or enable (check) it

Method 2: Fix problem with apps.



I suggest you to follow this article on

Method 3: Reset Sticky Notes in Windows 10.

1. Open the Settings Navigate to
   Apps and then select Apps & features.
   
2. Look for the Sticky Notes
   entry and click on the same to select it. You should now see
   Advanced options link
   
3. Click Advanced
   options link to open Storage usage and app reset page.
   
4. Click the Reset button. When you see the confirmation, click the
   Reset button to reset the Sticky Notes
   app.
   
5. Restart the PC once you reset the
   Sticky Notes
   app.
   

Re-install sticky notes app from the Microsoft store and check if that helps.

How to Sign in and Sign out of Sticky Notes in Windows 10

OPTION ONE

Sign in to Sticky Notes
1. Right click or press and hold on Sticky Notes in the Start menu (All apps) or on the taskbar, and click/tap on Settings in its jump list. (see screenshots below)

*note If your account is not listed or you want to use a different account, click/tap on Microsoft account or Work or school account, and follow the instructions to sign in to the account.



4. You will now be signed in to Sticky Notes with access to all of your notes for this account. (see screenshot below)










OPTION TWO

Sign out of Sticky Notes
1. Right click or press and hold on Sticky Notes in the Start menu (All apps) or on the taskbar, and click/tap on Settings in its jump list. (see screenshots below)



Note If you have a note open, you could click/tap on the Menu (3 dots) button, click/tap on All Notes, and click/tap on the Settings (gear) icon.














2. Click/tap on the Sign out link. (see screenshot below)



3. Click/tap on Sign out to confirm. (see screenshot below)



4. You will now be signed out of Sticky Notes. You can now close Sticky Notes if you like. (see screenshot below)
