  1. Reoccurring problems with the Microsoft Store


    Hello,


    Our (domain) users are frequently experiencing issues with the Microsoft Store. In this case, the Microsoft Store app cannot be opened as it closes immediately. The same thing goes for all the other apps including Photos, Calculator and OneNote.


    So far, the issue has occurred on different Windows 10 versions (Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 Pro N). The OS versions were ranging from 1709 to 1909. During the troubleshooting process, I have tried disabling / removing the antivirus software, disabling the Proxy Server, Updating Windows as well as installing the most recent hardware drivers.


    Using common fixes such as reinstalling the Windows 10 apps using PowerShell and WSReset also didn't work. Creating a new local user account and running the Microsoft Store Troubleshooter also didn't help. Basically I've tried almost everything I could find on the Internet.


    As a last resort, I've completely reinstalled the problem clients. Unfortunately the same issues reoccurred within a few days / weeks.

    Today I spoke to someone from the tech support department, who suggested that it might be due to our current Group Policies.


    Do you guys have any ideas on what could be causing this behavior? I am looking for detailed replies, so please don't send me things like "run sfc /scannow, DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth or update and then restart the computer".

    There are times that you’ll encounter an error that the account doesn’t exist if the account name was misspelled. It can also be related to a conflict that has occurred with the Store app. To resolve this concern, we suggest that you check this
    article for the steps that you can use.

    Also, here are the troubleshoot steps that you can follow to isolate if the issue is with the Store app:

    • Check for
      connection problem

    • Check if you have the correct time and location settings. Go to Settings
      > Time & Language.
    • Reset Microsoft Store cache:
    • Press Windows + R keys to launch the run command box.
    • Type WSReset, then try launching Microsoft and sign in.

    Windows 10 Store error code 0x80070005 reoccurring

    I would suggest that you try and re-register store and check if the issue still persist. To re-register follow the steps mentioned below:

    Steps;

    • On the search bar, type Powershell, right click on it and Run as Administrator.
    • The type the command-
    powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.XML

    • Restart computer and open store.
