    Explorer Crash FIX!

Our old Dell Inspiron N5110 got this problem also.
Taskbar keeps refreshing. Thanks many hints from guys above pointed me the direction to fix it.
From Reliability History Monitor I found Explorer keeps crashing because of IDTNC64.CPL (type reliability history at Start)
    1. the issue was from IDTNC64.cpl, the sound driver,
but I could not successfully to uninstall it from device manager nor control panel or rename the file or the folder.
    2. uninstalled High Definition Audio Device few times, problem remain
    3. tried to uninstall within Control Panel > Program file, yet Control Panel only open 2, 3 seconds then closed automatically.
    4. finally solved Control Panel shut down problem by going to msconfig>services>and disable Windows Error Reporting Service. see below sequence:
Click window + R keys, type msconfig, Enter to open msconfig, click Services Tag and look for Windows Error Reporting Service. Unchecked it, then apply, ok then reboot system when it suggests.
    5. After this, open Control Panel by clicking Start > type Control Panel. Then my Control Panel open and stay put, won't shut down by itself.
    6. In Control Panel > Programs > I found IDT Audio and successfully to uninstall it.
    7. No more taskbar refresh or Windows Explore shut down after uninstalled IDT and Sound still works great!!!
    8. repeat step 4 to check Windows Error Reporting Services by clicking it. OK then follow system suggestion to reboot.
    9. Control Panel still able to open and remain open. Sound still works and no more refresh.
    10. From Reliability History monitor found no more Windows Explorer crashing.
I am happy and hope above steps help

Windows 10 crashing after opening control panel or file explorer

    Hi,

after upgrading my PC from Windows 7 to Windows 10 I`m experiencing crashes of the OS after opening Control Panel or the File Explorer.I can open Control Panel and the File Explorer without problem but after clicking on anything inside it,it crashes, desktop
turns black and the taskbar vanishes. After a couple of seconds the desktop and taskbar reappears. Strangely, it happens only with one PC user,on the other user's desktop everything is ok and everything is working fine. Please help with some suggestion.

Windows Explorer closes less than 5 seconds after opening and Control Panel is casuing crashes

Control panel loads and then closes within 5 seconds.

Hi, the title seems to be different to your text: the title suggests you can access the Control Panel, but it closes immediately.

However, the text suggests you can't find it- if so:

This has been asked in numerous places on the internet - MS's policy is slowly to move everything to Settings and deprecate the old Control Panel.

Assuming you are try to launch the Control Panel via Windows key + X and haven't tried any other way, please see
After Creators Update - control panel link missing - Microsoft Community

If your problem is different to what I am assuming given the limited information, please post back.

From the Tutorial section (which you are free to browse and search) I have found these for you:
Show Control Panel or Settings on Win+X Menu in Windows 10 Windows 10 Customization Tutorials
Open Control Panel in Windows 10 Windows 10 General Tips Tutorials
Add or Remove Control Panel from This PC in Windows 10 Windows 10 General Tips Tutorials

Note that if you use the Classic Shell start menu (free) such issues become non-issues.
