Not Windows, but Whatsapp has announced they will no longer support Windows after December 31st.

WhatsApp FAQ - Support for other operating systems

"You'll no longer be able to use all Windows Phone operating systems after December 31, 2019, and WhatsApp might not be available in the Microsoft Store after July 1, 2019."

  3. whatsapp support stopping

I still have nokia Lumia 625 running 8.1. does everything that I want, no problem . However windows is saying will no longer support whatsapp on my phone after December 31st 2019. I use this a lot to keep in touch with family abroad

My Question is, to carry on using whatsapp, is there any update ? or do I have to bite the bullet and buy a new phone?. Thanks

    E71 - Calendar - Can't View December 31st

Ok, so the problem is fixed, here's what I had to do to fix it.

    1. Rather then re-formatting/re-setting the phone I simply started by deleting all of the items from the phone's calendar. (This could easily be repaired with a quick sync with Outlook.) After removing all of the calendar items I was able to view December 31st,
    2008.

    2. I then re-synchronized with Outlook and could no longer view December 31st, so I had confirmed it was a problem with data coming from Outlook.

    3. In Outlook, I made a new Calendar folder called "Calendar Backup", went into my current calendar, switched the View -> Arrange By -> Current View -> By Category. This will show all calendar events in a list format.

    4. I moved all of the events from the Calendar to the Calendar Backup folder and synchronized with the E-71. I could still view December 31st, so I konw that Outlook is ok at this point.

    5. I began moving appointments back into my calendar in small batches, synchronizing each time, until I was unable to view December 31st, 2008.

    6. I narrowed the problem down to a batch of 77 annual recurring birthday/anniversary events. None of these events occurred anywhere near December 31st, so I have no idea why they would cause this problem, but that was indeed the case.

    7. After moving the remainder of the events from the Calendar Backup folder back to the Calendar folder, I selected *ALL* sorted the list view in Outlook and selected all of the birthday/anniversary appointments and deleted them.

    8. I then used a VB macro found at
    http://www.modaco.com/content/smartphone-general-discussion/271177/outlook-macros-contact-birthdays-and-private-appointments-vba-code/#entry907522

that I used to batch re-add all of my contact birthdays and anniversaries to my calendar. Problem solved.

I have absolutely NO idea why this happened, especially, given the fact that none of these events occurred on December 31st.

As a software developer myself, I would call this a bug in the synchronization software for the E71. As an end-user, if it works in Outlook it should work on the E71. This is many more steps then I would expect any normal user to go through to get their phone
to work and explains why the iPhone and Blackberry still corner the market here in the US.

I hope someone from the E71 product team reads this and files a proper bug report as well.
