Windows 10: Will I need to reactivate Windows 10 after a factory reset?

I am using a Windows 10 hard drive on a machine which it was not originally plugged into. I have activated Windows 10 on this new machine, but I now need to perform a factory reset of Windows 10 using this method.

Will I need to reactivate Windows 10, or will Windows recognize my machine's motherboard and activate automatically? I have the product key handy. Will I be able to use it to reactivate Windows 10 after a factory reset? I have helplessly Googled this question to no avail.

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you

• Any changes made on the computer prior to this concern?
• What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

• Did you experience any issues on the computer before you tried performing a factory reset?

Thank you john for all of your help i decided to get the usb my computer came with and factory reset it i didnt have anything that personal or valueable so its ok thanks for the help though i appreciate it
