Windows 10: Windows 10 Update vesion 1909 Nov 2019 will not install

I can not get this update to install. It was stuck getting ready at 94% finally got through that by rebooting, now stuck at 1% on install and will not install. It is slowing my computer down so I can not use it. What can I do? HELP!! How do I set updates to happen in the middle of the night and not when I need to use the computer?

Feature update to Windows 10, version 1909 Failed to install on 11/13/2019 – 0x60244022

Just did an update and at the end, found these messages:

Feature update to Windows 10, version 1909(2)

Successfully installed 11/13/2019

Feature update to Windows 10, version 1909

Failed to install on 11/13/2019 – 0x60244022

So is the "fail" message number (0x60244022} a part of the update or just a code number for the failure of my first attempt? It is a bit confusing to me. I mean why does a failure need a number?

 

Windows 10 update 1909

Hey,

I've just clean installed windows 10. It is build 1803.

Today awesome 1909 have launched. I want to update to 1909 but in settings it is showing me option to upgrade to 1809. My friend told me I have to upgrade to 1809, then 1903 and then finally 1909.

I want to directly upgrade to 1909 without going through intermediate steps. How can I do this?
